The DISC Assessment gives us valuable information on how we prefer to communicate and interact with others. It’s a simple, practical and highly accurate tool that measures communication behaviors. It does not measure intelligence, values, or performance, but rather encourages us to explore all behavior styles and appreciate the differences. By learning how to read o ther people’s styles you can modify the way you interact and as a result, enhance the effectiveness of your interactions, relationships, communication, and productivity.

In this episode, we talk with a trusted provider of the DISC – Bonnie Burn. She’s been using the DISC for over 30 years and has designed programs and trained over 420,000 people representing all work sectors. She is internationally known as the authorized master DISC Certification Trainer for her company DISCcert, which just turned 25 years old this year (Woot woot! Congratulations Bonnie!!).

Miss Bonnie Burn, author of “Assessments A to Z – Jossey Bass Publishing,” has for 30 years designed programs and trained over 420,000 people representing all work sectors; Private, Non-Profit, Academic, and Government. She is internationally known as the authorized master DISC Certification Trainer for DISCcert.

Bonnie launched her own firm in 1994, specializing in team building, management skills and communication strategies. By 2007 she introduced her highly-comprehensive, two-day DISC assessment Train-the-Trainer certification program. The program goes beyond offering trainers certification in DISC assessment. It provides them with a set of (over 700!) tools that explain how to use the DISC system to inspire employees, educate managers, coach executives and increase team building.
